So! I saw the new Trek film just now!

( Less-than-coherent squeeing and SPOILERS )

I've rented Tales of the Black Freighter/Under the Hood, for completion's sake :-D To be honest, Tales of the Black Freighter is probably a little more disturbing than I would like, but I decided I wanted to see the cartoon anyway.

It seems to be a pretty basic frame-for-frame replication, except ( spoiler! )

1. It has been quite cold the last few days. Luckily (luckily!) it's supposed to snow tomorrow. That means it's going to warm up; it's too cold to snow right now :-(

2. Have a song about pirates.
